Basheer & Edgemoore
Opens Model Home at Millwood Pond

Tysons Corner, September 1, 1998... Basheer & Edgemoore's Evesham model home in the Southern style is now open at Millwood Pond, an exclusive enclave of 19 one-acre homes in the Reston area of Fairfax County, VA. Since sales began in March 1998, 13 homes at Millwood Pond have been sold.

The Evesham serves as a model home for two other communities now under construction by Basheer & Edgemoore in Northern Virginia: Farrcroft in Old Town Fairfax, and Westhampton in Springfield. Basheer & Edgemoore is a venture of two established Northern Virginia homebuilders, Diane Cox Basheer Communities and Edgemoore Homes.

Millwood Pond is located at the end of Sugarland Road, one quarter mile from the new Fairfax County Parkway entrance and just five minutes from Reston Town Center. Its 19 wooded lots surround a natural pond and are bordered by parkland that includes a stream and equestrian trail. The land plan for this community was carefully designed to preserve the beauty of the site's natural features, with dense stands of trees

The decorated model home features a two-story veranda paired with a Grand Manor Wing. Arched dormer windows and iron railing details lend a southern historical context to the home's sophisticated exterior. The amply sized veranda, accessible via french doors on its upper level, provides a comfortable outdoor relaxation spot.

Inside the model home, a two-story foyer and two-story family room with arched windows provide dramatic woodland views. The light-filled rear staircase overlooks a two-story atrium connecting the family room and morning room. The Evesham offers lifestyle flexibility with its Grand Manor Wing, which includes a spacious first floor bedroom and full bath.

The second level of the home, like the main level, features nine-foot ceilings. The owner's suite is a luxurious retreat with its fireplace-warmed sitting room, tray ceilings, large his-and-hers wardrobes, and salon bath. The guest bath and shared baths are located to afford privacy and convenience to the secondary bedrooms.

Buyers at Millwood Pond can select the Evesham, Ashmont or Cliffehurst models, each available in four distinct designs: Southern, Federal, Georgian and English. Options include a Grand Manor Wing, sunroom, three-car side-load garage, bonus room, and guest suite. The lower level can be finished with options such as a home office, club room, and media or exercise room. Homes are priced from $429,900.

The Evesham and other Millwood Pond selections are also available as Manor Homes at Farrcroft, Northern Virginia's first neotraditional community, now under construction in Old Town Fairfax. Farrcroft eventually will comprise 276 homes on 70 acres, with more than 18 acres of parkland and open space. The community's first phase of 79 homes is now under construction, with 38 homes already sold. Models are expected to be completed at Farrcroft in early 1999. In addition to Manor Homes priced in the $400,000 - $500,000 range, Farrcroft also offers Village Homes priced in the mid-to-upper $300,000's and Courtyard Homes priced in the low-to-mid $300,000's.

Basheer & Edgemoore Manor Home sales are also strong at Westhampton, a community of move-up single family homes now under construction in Springfield. The community is located just one mile from the new Franconia Metro station and adjoins the Franconia Springfield Parkway. It is easily accessible to Washington, D.C., George Mason University, Old Town Alexandria, Springfield Mall and other major destinations.

Westhampton offers the unique opportunity of move-up single family homes in a serene, parklike setting within close proximity to major commuting arteries. New homes at Westhampton include the Evesham and other Manor Home models being offered at Millwood Pond.
